Completely Evil antagonists who have no redeeming qualities. These characters refuse to reform from their evil ways and they have no remorse for their evil actions. They are also aware of their evil actions but do not care who they harm and are either apathetic, sadistic, or a mix of both in how they go about committing their acts and how they regard others.

Despite their actions, there are three possibilities that could prevent these villains from Pure Evil, as they are generally shown to be by the narrative:

  1. Standard Evil: Being too bog-standard and committing generic acts of unexceptional villainy (e.g. Dr. Zara from Abominable).
  2. Outright: Failing the heinous standard of the franchise. An example would be a serial killer from a franchise full of terrorists, warlords, genocidal maniacs, and dictators (e.g. Aria from Akame Ga Kill). This also includes the villains that hold back on their resources too much and fail to make the most of them (depending on how high or low their resources are) by merely committing standard villainy (e.g. Alejandro Sosa from Scarface).
  3. Shock Value: Coming from pure shock value exploitation work with no moral or message. These stories don't have a concept of good and evil, so nobody passes the baseline (e.g. Vukmir from A Serbian Film).

Characters with moral agency issues cannot count since they are only following their own natural instincts or programming. This also excludes characters who are insufficiently characterized since these characters lack defining motives and/or personality.

Important: This category is only for antagonists CONFIRMED to have no redeeming or amoral qualities. All antagonists with redeeming qualities and redeemed antagonists, as well as those who are PE cannot count for obvious reasons.
