Cassandra is a major character in the Tangled franchise. She is the biological daughter Mother Gothel who was adopted by the former Captain of the Royal Guards. By the end of season two, she steals the Moonstone Opal and merges with it, turning her into the physical embodiment of the moondrop. She unknowingly becomes the secondary antagonist of the third season, and by the series finale, she redeems herself to help Rapunzel to defeat Zhan Tiri, who manipulated her into becoming evil in the first place.
