Blink is a dying super hero and title character of the franchise, who's powers drain him more and more each day. Knowing he will soon die, he looks out for a potential replacement. He finds this person in Vee Shapel
Short Film[]
The short opens with a sequence of Blink coughing up blood and stumbling around his base/house. He looks at a corkboard labelled "Potential Replacements" with pictures of Vee Shapel and fun cameos of Sophie Thompson (Blink's creator) and Daniel Kowal (friend of Blink's actor). He teleports away and isn't seen again until he attacks Vee, Harry and Rey while they're researching Luke Knight on the computer. Blink stalks the room before teleporting away after seeing the screen of Luke. Blink once again appears to stalk the three, catching Harry off guard and severally injuring him to near death. When Rey hears the fight outside he runs to Luke's ladder, to descend from his attic, but Blink shows up behind him and pushes him down the ladder, immobilising him from the final fight. Luke manages to shoot Blink in the cheek and rip his mask open. This causes Blink to just remove his mask showing us his face for the first time since the introduction sequence. He pleads and fights with Vee in his final moments before succumbing to his powers and dying on the floor while choking up blood.
