Beatnik Giant is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a take on the giant from the classic fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk. He speaks in rhymes and always tries to keep his cool. Unlike his partner, James the Dragon, this giant is unquestionably loyal to Dr. Robotnik.
History[]
When Sonic, Tails and Dr. Robotnik entered a book of fairy tales through use of the Portable Portal Transporter, they met a number of interesting characters. When Scratch and Grounder released Robotnik from the book, he brought with him some new goons, James the Dragon and the Beatnik Giant.
Knowing his fairy tales well, Sonic got the Beatnik Giant to chase him up a beanstalk. Towards the top, Sonic escaped with the help of his recently-acquired ally, James the Dragon. Meanwhile, Sonic's friends cut down the beanstalk from its trunk below. The giant fell on Dr. Robotnik, leaving a very large hole in the shape of his body in the ground. He was never seen again until all the fairy tale characters were transported back into the book.
