Basil Fawlty is the main protagonist of the 1970s sitcom Fawlty Towers.
Despite being the main protagonist however, he acts far more like an antagonist than a protagonist.
His attitude towards his guests and staff usually lead him to being humiliated.
Antagonistic Acts[]
- Regularly insults his guests unless they are of high class.
- He shows little care towards anyone but himself.
- He once viciously insulted a higher class couple when they left after he mistreated an imposter.
- He frequently insults his wife Sybill by calling her names such as a toxic midget behind her back.
