Ashley Curtwell was the main antagonist of the episode ''Coming of Rage'' of CSI.
Ashley was a teenager and the younger sister of construction worker Gregory Curtwell who became her guardian after her parents' deaths. She was also responsible for the death of Brian Haddick and left his body near his brother's constructions site to make him think it was him. She also reveals to Sara Sidle that Brian tried to rape her before someone else arrived and attacked him with a hammer, allowing her to escape. Meanwhile, Ashley claimed that she hadn't killed Brian, the team thought it was Gregory and that she was protesting him. However, the evidence soon showed that Brian was attacked by four different attackers, Benny Lizzio, Aaron and Jared Gilbert. But soon afterwards Sara deduced that the fourth attacker was Ashley since the items she bought at the mall after Brian's death would be $ 125. Which was the exact bill Brian received from his unskilled waiter job, a time Benny, Aaron and Jared went to find Brian a total of $ 275 before he killed him.
After that, Sara confronted Ashley and says that her fingerprint was in Brian's blood, although Ashley later lies that she only did that to protect her friends. However, Sara unmasks her after deducing that Ashley lured Brian to his older brother's constructions site, and that she and her friends killed Brian, and that pleaded with Brian to murder him by beating him along with friends and laughing at her, his death.
And when asked by Sara about the reason for the crime, Ashley then immediately states that Brian was too good for her and her friends, Sara then criticized her and says that she will do anything to get her tried as an adult. Ashley still boasts in the end that she intends to manipulate the court and claim she is innocent.
