The Storm

Antonia Slade is a minor antagonist in the episode Devil's Backbone in Criminal Minds.  She is portrayed by Frances Fishes.

History[]

Biography[]

Slade was born in 1959 on a farm in Kentucky, and at the age of fourteen she got pregnant very early, her father who was a minister of Gemany, severely disciplined her for breaking the rules, he took her out of school and forced her to give birth, which it was a boy she then put him up aboption due to the shame he brought to his family. After that Slade became a therapist, she supervised several patients. She then began killing with an accomplice named Phil Garmon who severed all social ties due to becoming affiliated with her. However after killing his latest victim Hector Ramon and his mate, she was tracked down by Jason Gideon and she was arrested, Slade was sentenced for her murders and sentenced to life in prison. After your arrest. Her submissive accomplice, Phil Garmon commited suicide, she tried to escape with the help of two new prison guards, but her plan failed. She never said why she commitded the murders which made Gideon very upset about it.

Slade later manipulated a boy and his formed patient Claude Barlow who had an obsession with having Slade for him. And taking advantage of his mental instability, she made him kidnap boys and keep them captive for her. Slade would later become diabetic and contracted an ulcer on her leg, then the state sentenced her to a solitary confinement, but nevertheless she gave further instructions to send a packet of bloodstained clothing to the boys with dog blood. After that the BAU is called, and they despite having to meet Slade's criteria to talk her. Although she has been in contact with other BAU members like Rossi, Hotch, Reid, but the only opened up with JJ and Dr. Tara Lewis. After that BAU investigated Slade and deduced that Slade's accomplice is Barlow. And when they arrive to arrest them, they take Slade along to make Barlow release them, he demands to speak only with Slade, who she whispers in his ear and Barlow committed suicide after that. Shortly thereafter, Slade has an open conversation with Hotchner and then says that she could have set everything in motion much earlier. He then deduces his past from his newborn son, and when Hotch asks what happened she refuses to answer, plus the reward for him being so clever, she then says a storm is coming and the episode is over. 

The Storm[]

Slade reappers in the episode The Storm, where she is interrogated by JJ and explains that Slade said the The Storm. JJ then to press her and tell her all about her son, otherwise they didn't hesitate to shoot him. She has no other choice but JJ says her son is named Asher Douglas. 

Personality[]

Slade was profiled as a narcissist to the extreme who longed to have control of the situation. However, Hotch revealed that Slade was full of self-loathing, meaning she hated herself and every time Slade killed one of her victims she was always killing herself for lack of discipline. Slade was also shown to have a cold, emotionless, and a manipulative psychopath personality that induced his complicity to suicide. But despite this she showed empathy for her son Asher Douglas when questioned by JJ.
