Annie Wilkes is the main antagonist of the 1987 Stephen King novel Misery and its 1990 film adaptation. She is a mentally ill serial killer and former nurse who kidnaps her favorite author, Paul Sheldon, and holds him prisoner so he can write another book starring her favorite fictional character, Misery Chastain.
In the 1990 film, she is portrayed by Kathy Bates, who also portrayed Miriam Meed in American Horror Story: Apocalypse. In the TV series Castle Rock, she is portrayed by Lizzy Caplan.

Soon after Paul threat to burn the manuscript, Annie begs for him not to, Paul so begins burn all the manuscript. Her in panic tries eraser the fire, but Paul attack her and the two begins in a fight, they continued fighting, Annie give a shoot in the Paul but that not prevented of Paul attack her. After at the Annie falls and had an beat in his head.
Thinking she is dead, Paul begins to escape, but is attacked by Annie. Paul bites her hand and catches a pig statue and smashes her in the face with it, crushing her skull and killing her.
