Amanda Matthews, who lived under the pseudonym of Amanda Haynes, she and her biological brother who was also her husband, Patrick Haynes are the main antagonists of the episode ''Table Stakes'' of the first season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Amanda and her husband, Patrick, show up at a charity fundraiser at Portia Richmond's house, and a retired showgirl from Las Vegas, is killed by the same of Lacey Duvall floating in the pool in the backyard that everyone comes by. Thereafter the CSI take the pool as the crime scene, while Catherine sues the pool and finds bright red nails, and Warrick finds cuff link with the initials CM, and in the autopsy Doc Robbins notes that she has been strangled.
After that, Grissom and Catherine rummage through Portia's music box for a fingerprint, and the two hear a noise coming from above, and they discover the source of the noise coming from above, and they discover the source of the noise coming in Portia's room, and catch the brother and sister in the middle having sex. After that, Brass questions the couple and finds out that although Portia is on vacation, the couple was organizing a party on her behalf. And during the interviews, Grissom asks for the straw from which Amanda drinks water, and tells her that he puts the straw as a hobby, which Amanda gives him. After that, Grissom and Catherine search Portia's room and find no evidence that she had packed anything on a trip. However, they find a human tooth in the fireplace, and the DNA confirms that it belongs to Portia.
After that, Grissom returns to the morgue and soon sees that one of the finger marks on Lacey's neck is less vivid than the orders, which shows that she was strangled and had her nails broken. Greg processes the nail collected at the house for DNA and soon realizes that the nail owner is related to Chad; with this they compare the DNA of Amanda and Chad and realize that the two are related. During interrogation, Patrick admits to having had a relationship with Lacey in the past, but he had broken up with her after he fell in love with Amanda, and had even betrayed Lacey to be with his sister. After that, Grissom confronts the evidence that Patrick's wife is actually Patrick's sister, and reports that Amanda had killed Lacey.
During the flashback, Amanda kills Lacey during an argument, and when Lacey blackmails Amanda, she kills her. After being unmasked, Patrick asks if she really did this, in which Amanda soon says she did it to protect both Patrick's identity and her own. After that, Grissom also confronts the couple about piranhas and cholesterol, in which they confess to killing Portia, and the two are arrested for the murder of Portia and Lacey.
