Albert Spica is the main antagonist of the 1989 romance / black comedy / crime film, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. A violent, sadistic and thoroughly boorish gangster, Spica's ownership and patronage of the restaurant Le Hollandais and the miseries that occur within as a result forms the bulk of the film's plot.
He is portrayed by Sir Michael Gambon, who also plays Jan Jarmokowski in The Beast Must Die and Eddie Temple in Layer Cake.
