Description[]
Appearance[]
He is a tall, slender middle-aged man with grey hair, he wears glasses and black gloves and he also wears a black suit with a blue tie and a light brown trench coat with a badge on it.
Personality[]
Trout's a highly corrupt and selfish hypocrite; when he first showed up he made everyone turn on the Bears even more by lying to everyone that the Bears are monsters and that they stack and he had them arrested but rescued by Charlie. Despite being a human supremacist, Trout is very abusive, ruthless, cold-hearted, sadistic and controlling towards other humans who act dumb or side with animals (especially Officer Murphy and Chloe Park), as this shows what a downright hypocrite he is. Later, as he brought officer Murphy to recapture them, Murphy saw Trout's true intentions to cruelly capture the bears and separate them from each other for his own selfish needs to keep the bears in the right species line. As the film progresses, Trout shows more of his true colors of being nothing but a extremely cruel, racist psychopath who is obsessed with "maintaining order" and enjoys using his authority in torturing and imprisoning animals (especially bears) for sport and pleasure.
Trout is also extremely xenophobic, heartless, murderous and completely narcissistic sadist as he hates anything that isn't human and would resort to commit murder as he tried to kill all the bears in the reserve for trying to escape and also spitefully willing to leave all the Bears to die in fire when the Bears stacks up to escape onto the helicopter. But all in all, Trout's personality is proven of leading to his downfall where he was ambushed by a disgusted Officer Murphy who finally turning against Trout by shoving a donut to his mouth then resulted in the arrest for animal abuse.
Biography[]
During the courts about the Bears going wild through the entire city and blackouts with Murphy's objections, Agent Trout arrived and lies to the people that the bears had been stack to be dangerous and they must have to be separated by maintaining order by any means of possible. Once the bears are taken away with Trout watching them, Darren, Tabes, Chloe, Lucy, and others appear and furiously confront him for being cruel towards the bears and his deceiving everyone. Trout instead callously dismisses their complaints and lies that he is sending them to the nature preserve for safety, much to Chloe's disgust. Ironically, Murphy appears on sight, making Trout freak out to question at Murphy for someone inside driving the van.
The next morning, the police begins investigating the Bears' cave until Trout arrives as he then summons his reinforcements to prepare for them to capture the bears. In an attempt to fulfill his ambitions, Trout must be ready to separate the bears in natural order: Grizzly Bear in North America, Panda Bear in China, and Ice Bear in Antarctica. While at the intersection's inspection, the Bears quickly disguise themselves to sneak past the National Wildlife Preserve soldiers in their van. When the second van pulls up, the soldier calls for Trout that he caught the Bears, which he walks over and attempts to arrest them. Unfortunately for Trout, he found out that it was real people in the same van that the Bears had, causing an angry Trout to berate his soldier for his failure before Murphy reappears with getting his croissant shoved in his mouth by Trout once again.
After Trout finds the Bears at the famous animal celebrities party by Pizza Rat (who was trying to get more followers and jealous of their inconclusive), he and his reinforcements tried to capture the Bears, but the animal celebrities attack them, allowing the Bears to escape in their fully repaired van by the raccoons until Trout wrecks the music and proceeded his chase through the bridge as he struggles to capture Panda. The Bears manages to lose him by jumping over the gap bridge after activating the rocket upgraded booster to make their way to Canada.
The soldier informs Trout about the cellphone Panda accidentally left behind during their runaway. After unable to enter to Canada and their argument, Trout appears with his reinforcements as he showed them the cellphone of their plans to go Canada until he orders his reinforcements to capture them. Eventually, Trout takes the Bears to the Natural Preserve. However, Trout finally reveals his true plans to separate the Bears by sending Panda to China and Ice to Antarctica while he puts a disheartened Grizz in his cage with other abused bears (including cubs) that he captured previously. Murphy criticizes Trout for his cruel methods toward the bears, but instead he dismisses him from the case. In the meantime, Trout begins to psychologically torment Grizz in his cage and reveals his true plans about predatory human dominance before cruelly leaving to proceed with his plans, making Grizz cry in failure.
After Grizz (regaining his confidence from his younger self and the other bears) breaks out of his cell before freeing the other bears to rescue his brothers. As Panda and Ice Bear's cages are preparing to lift away by the helicopter, Trout and his reinforcements hear a large rumbling sound where Grizz and the other bears breakthrough the fence to ambush and, which also causes several of the scared natural preserve soldiers to run away from their fury. Enraged, Trout sticks out his taser, rants about his immense hatred of bears as he advances and threatens them with it while both Panda and Ice Bear's cells are being lifted off in mid-air away. Fortunately, Grizz throws an axe to Ice Bear, who liberates himself and helps Panda as they both land to the preserve safely to confront Trout in rage for his actions against them, much to Trout's shock. Surrounded by an army of angry bears led by Grizz, Trout frantically tries to attack them with a taser and runs away from them, only to end up running right into the empty cell that the Bears locked him up angrily. Trout angrily demands they release him and protests about nature, but the Bears refuse and Grizz coldly refutes that nature adapts and should as well. Suddenly, the wildfire begins to spread everywhere that traps the bears on sight before Murphy arrives with the helicopter to rescue the bears from the wildfire. Meanwhile, a news helicopter appears and broadcast the whole event on national television, with all of the Bears' friends watching as well.
Upon the failures of his attempts, Trout manages to escape from his cell and climbs on the Bears' stack, where he begins to mock them about trying to escape and plans to leave the Bears to die in the wildfire (possibly out of spite for ruining his plans) as he continues mocking them because they only stack and can't even stop him from escaping. Before Trout can do so, Murphy ambushes Trout by shoving a donut into his mount and then bound him to the rail with handcuffs adding with a final insult as payback for all of his abuse earlier throughout the attempt of capturing the bears, much to his dismay. Following the fire, Trout was arrested and sent to prison by Murphy and the rest of his police officers for endangering the bear species and numerous other crimes he committed throughout the film.
It is highly likely that Trout was sentenced to life imprisonment and his position most likely getting permanently removed for his crimes & being a villain. Thus ends the torment and abuse overall bears for his own pleasure and sports, putting an end to his threat against the bears and also ending his delusional plans once and for all. Meanwhile, all the bears Trout captured had moved to San Francisco and began adapting to the same lifestyle the bears did before them. Soon most of all, everyone begins to live in peace with the bears, ultimately proving Trout incorrectly about the antagonism of bears after all.
Trivia[]
- Though he is the main antagonist of the television film, Agent Trout is shown to be the most heinous villain in the series due to not only he had captured all of the bears without any remorse, but also crossed the moral event horizon by leaving the Bears to die in fire at the forest.
- Trout is the common name for a number of freshwater fish and are the main food source for brown bears.
- This also comprehends with Agent Trout's main conflict with the Bears and his willingness to commit murder to get rid of them.
- In a promotional photo, he was shown to be younger and having brown hair and a purple tie, this possibly was him when he was younger or his early design/concept art.
- If he had succeeded in leaving the bears to die in the fire, he would have been arrested for wiping them out, as the whole event was being broadcasted on national television. So, no matter what, he would have been punished for his actions.
- He bares a striking resemblance to Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth from the Miraculous franchise.
With the movie being the finale of the We Bare Bears series, Trout serves as the final antagonist.
